Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Jack Moreau
Dr. Jack A Moreau, a 1983 graduate of LSSU School of Veterinary medicine, worked for a vet out of school until he opened his own practice Destrehan Animal Hospital. He is a very caring and devoted doctor. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and looking at old cars. He has had many different cars over the years from old mustangs, volts wagon bugs, even an amphicar. Today he has a 2012 convertible mustang he drives in his free time.
Dr. Raymond Bourgeois
Dr. Raymond Bourgeois, a 1983 graduate of LSU School of Veterinary medicine, has been with the practice for 30 years. He was a classmate of Dr. Moreau. Dr. Bourgeois opened up his own At Home Veterinary practice out of school and then teamed up with Destrehan Animal Hospital. He is very dedicated to the practice and the clients. In his spare time, he enjoys working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his two sons.
Dr. Gina Goodier
Dr. Gina Goodier, a 2005 LSU graduate of LSU School of Veterinary medicine, has been with the practice for nine years. She is a great doctor and surgeon. In her spare time, she enjoys watching football and hanging out with friends. She is also an LSU football season ticket holder.
Dr. Alexandra Carter
Dr. Alex Carter, a 2018 graduate of LSU School of Veterinary medicine, is the newest doctor on our team. She was an LSU golden girl from 2009-2011. Dr. Carter is very sweet, energetic, and a real go-getter. The clients love her cute little voice she speaks to the pets. In her spare time, she enjoys her family, pets, and working out. We are glad to have her on our team.
Danielle Sutton has been employed at Destrehan Animal Hospital Hospital for 25 years. She started out as a part-time technician in high school and eventually became head tech. She has been a practice manager for about 10 years now. She is dedicated to the clients, pets, doctors, and all of her work family. If there is a question or any concern, she’s definitely the number one go-to and loved by everyone!
Meet Our Veterinary Technicians
As far as our technicians and receptionist, they work hard together. One of our receptionists has been employed for 28 years. The office manager/ vet tech has been employed for 25 years. Other technicians have been employed 26 years, 16 years, on down. Everyone has made a work-family bond. The technicians and receptionist work hard to communicate well
together to make the business run smoothly and successfully. The bonds that each and everyone has made over the years with the clients and their pets is phenomenal.
